WORK EXPERIENCE:

2007 to date  : I am currently an organiser and coordinator Women are Creators exhibitions in

                                           Tanzania and production of sculptures   
                       


Nov 06 – Dec  2006  : Project Co-ordinator. 8th Annual Best of Modern Makonde Sculpture

                                                    Tanzanian National Museum, Dar-es-Salaam.

I facilitated with organisers in preparing and promoting exhibitions for sculptors

I ensured that names of participants were included in the exhibitors list and recognised in the events

I worked as a PR officer engaged in promoting and informing other artists on the date of the exhibition

I helped in interpreting and translating the tribal names and meanings of materials of various art pieces

I undertook the duties of a cashier at the exhibition, collecting payments of purchase

I ensured that I was present to answer any questions from people who attended on the day of the events


Sept – Oct 2006  :  Cultural Workshop and Presentation: Black History Month with Simba Youth Project.

I attended various children schools giving presentations and conducting workshop based on my work

I helped in interpreting and translating the tribal names and meanings of materials of various art pieces

I ensured that I was present to answer any questions from people who attended on the day of the events

INTEREST & HOBBIES

I enjoy playing music and hanging with friends in a sociable environment. I also like reading and meeting different people from different backgrounds regardless of their ethnicity or orientation. I also like being in a friendly environment especially at work amongst people that share the same artistic interest as I do in order to produce a hospitable atmosphere. I like singing and dancing as well as travelling to different places.
